Cookie Policy
1. What This Page Covers
This page explains which cookies and similar storage Athens Fastlane uses on this website, what each kind is for, and how you can allow or refuse them. For how we handle the personal details you send us, see our Privacy Policy.
2. What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to keep. Websites also use similar storage inside the browser, such as local storage. Both let a site, or a service it uses, remember something between pages or visits. In this policy "cookies" means all of these.
3. Your Choice
On your first visit a banner asks what you allow. You can accept all, reject all, or choose by kind. Until you choose, and whenever you refuse, cookies for analytics and marketing are not set and not read. The website works in full either way: refusing does not limit bookings, fares or any page.
Your choice is remembered in your own browser for 365 days and then asked again. You can change it at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page, or with the button at the end of this page.
4. Strictly Necessary
These are needed for the website to do what you ask of it. They cannot be switched off and they are not used to follow you.
- "cookie-consent" (local storage of this website, 365 days): remembers what you chose in the cookie banner.
- A sign-in cookie is set only for the staff of the business when they sign in to manage bookings. Visitors never receive it.
The booking form and the contact form keep nothing in your browser. The address search and the route map are provided by Google Maps Platform and start only when you use them: see "Google Maps and Address Search" in our Privacy Policy.
5. Analytics (Only If You Allow)
If you allow analytics, we measure how the website is used, for example which pages are visited and whether a booking request was completed, so that we can improve it. The measurement is done by Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager. It may set these cookies:
- "_ga" (up to 2 years): tells one visitor from another.
- "_ga_" followed by an identifier (up to 2 years): keeps the state of a visit.
When a form is sent, we record that it was sent and a few facts about the request, such as the number of passengers or the estimated fare. We never send your name, email, phone number, addresses or notes to an analytics or advertising service.
6. Marketing (Only If You Allow)
If you allow marketing, advertising services we work with may recognise that you visited this website, so that we can measure our advertisements and show them to people who may be interested. Depending on the campaigns we run, these may include:
- Google Ads: "_gcl_au" (up to 90 days), to measure the results of advertisements.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram): "_fbp" (up to 90 days), to measure and show advertisements.
These services process the information under their own privacy policies and may combine it with other information they hold about you.
7. Google Tag Manager
Analytics and marketing tags are managed through Google Tag Manager. Tag Manager itself sets no cookies. On this website it starts with every kind of storage refused and follows your choice: a tag for analytics or marketing may store or read something only after you allow its kind.
8. Removing Cookies
Changing your choice here stops further use at once. Cookies that were already set stay in your browser until they expire or you delete them. Every browser lets you see and delete the cookies of a website in its privacy settings.
9. Changes and Contact
If we change what we use, we update this page, and when the change needs your consent the banner asks you again. For any question about cookies or your data, write to us at athensfastlane@gmail.com.
